Born and raised in a poor rural village in Vinh Phuc province, Nguyen Hong Phong moved to Hanoi at just 14 years old. He worked various odd jobs to survive—collecting scrap metal, repairing bicycles, and working as a street vendor.
The path that led him to win the Australian Government’s prestigious Endeavour Scholarship—a PhD program valued at $355,000 AUD (approx. 6 billion VND)—and fueled his passion for helping Vietnamese youth secure scholarships, study abroad, and settle overseas, is marked by the following milestones:
SBS was built upon that foundation of trust, ambition, and passion. For him, nurturing talent and helping students spread their wings to change their futures—just as he transformed from a scrap-collecting boy into a PhD holder—is the greatest dream and life's work he has ever pursued.
